Walking Seattle’s Green Lake Park:

The Green Lake Loop is a path around Greenlake within Green Lake Park – there are no cars to deal with and the trail is generally just under three miles if you follow the interior loop.

By the way, if you happen to be counting steps, there are over 5000 steps around Green Lake on the paved walking side of the trail (My Body Bug usually lands between 5100 and 5300 steps depending on which side of the trail I am on).

Want a bigger walk around Green Lake?

There is also an exterior trail that is less traveled but great for adding steps to your walk as it is much longer and follows the contours of the streets around the park rather than the lake itself.

Other ways to go around Greenlake:

Jogging, dog jogging, strolling in your flip flops, pushing a stroller while walking or jogging, biking, roller blading, learning to ride your bike, long boarding, or my favorite:  dog long boarding.  I have seen unicycles on the path and some crazy outfits. There is one group I call the mommy brigade – side by side double and triple strollers with these amazingly skinny mommies pushing their gorgeous children.  Everyone uses this great asset to Seattle and it is fun to people watch!
